As mentioned, from the Ritson Road parking lot, we walk off to the right, down Winterton Walk, through the alley between the Curries Fountain sports field and Sastri College (an Indian prep school), and so into the main MLST campus to the back side of the building you see in the first picture at the top of the prior page, and in the lower picture to the right.

     From that point, we swing around to the left, and can then enter  the tall building in the picture to the right, 'B Block.'  This is where much of the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering are housed.   We have been told that because of the space limitations placed on the Technikon under the Group Areas Act which prevented its expansion into what were designated as 'white' areas, 'everywhere there was grass, we built,' and when they ran out of open space, they went up.  B Block illustrates this well. 
     In the picture below left, we have the gymnasium building to the left.  The glass building is the library.  In the picture below to the right is the interior of B Block.
