For some weeks and months, we have had an 'extra' edition of our web site available, describing the visit of our home minister, Rev. John Lombard of Trinitarian Congregational Church in Concord, Massachusetts. We will leave that portion of the site up for a bit longer. You can access it by clicking on the picture to the right. Towards the very end of his visit, John visited the Catholic convent connected with the monastery at Mariannhill, very close to where we are living in Kloof outside of Durban. The nuns and Zulu seamstresses working there have a shop producing liturgical vestments. John heard about this, and on his visit ordered a new stole with appropriate symbols to memorialize his visit and his newfound ties to Africa. The stole was ready in time to be rushed over to the US for John to wear at Tri-Con's special worship service celebrating the 25th anniversary of his ordination. On this page, you can visit the workshop at Mariannhill.
