Those of you who have followed the versions of this web site will recall that we have posted, over time, a few hymns for which Jan has written the text and music. This time, it's a setting of someone [and such a someone!] else's text. We were in church at Musgrave Road, and sang No. 471 in their hymnal, but Jan couldn't help noticing the text (all there is in the hymnal) for No. 472, a powerful image of the grace and love of God. Searching the usual tune, he thought it needed something different. Thus, the tune and setting "Addington." We hope Charles Wesley would approve. We've posted files for the music to listen to [it helps to have a decent player (RealAudio or Windows Media work fine)], to read the text, and to see the score [you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader].
